The most touching thing that has ever happened to me.
My name is Shan Yi, and I’m a sound healer.
Throughout my work as a sound healer, there’s one thing that has always left a deep impression on me.
Someone once said to me:
“It’s been a long time since I’ve truly rested.”
In reality, it’s not that many people don’t have time to rest.
Rather, even when their bodies are lying down, their minds are still working.
Work, family, the future, the past, and all those unfinished tasks—they keep replaying in their minds.
So every time a session begins, I tell them:
You don’t have to do anything right now.
You just need to listen.
As the sound of the singing bowl gradually unfolds, their breathing slowly slows down, and their bodies begin to relax.
In that moment, I realize more and more:
Sometimes, healing isn’t about doing more.
It’s about finally allowing yourself to stop.
Allowing yourself to rest.
Allowing yourself to do nothing at all.
